Platja d’Albercuix – A Town Beach with Soul

Stretching right in front of the promenade at Port de Pollença, Platja d’Albercuix surprises with a blend of everyday life, nostalgia, and natural beauty. It's not a showy beach, but a place to linger, observe, and arrive.

Platja d’Albercuix – The Long Breath of Port de Pollença

If you think town beaches are loud, cramped, and overcrowded, you haven’t experienced Platja d’Albercuix yet. This long, narrow sandy cove runs almost the entire coastline of Port de Pollença—over 1.5 km of fine sand bordered by ancient pines, boat piers, and a relaxed promenade.

What makes this beach special is its mix: children splash in the shallow water, older gentlemen read newspapers in the shade, sailboats drift by slowly—it all feels unhurried, almost old-fashioned, in the best sense. The beach isn’t spectacular, but it’s authentic—and that's precisely what gives it its charm.

The water is extremely shallow—sometimes you have to walk dozens of meters out before you can swim. Perfect for families, but also ideal for anyone who just wants to stand, float, or snorkel.

There are many access points—almost every side street ends at the sea. Trees provide shade, benches invite you to sit, and cafés are just steps away. Yet the beach has retained its genuineness. No high-rises, no hotel blocks—just a place where the sea is part of the town.
