Es Morer Vermell – the quiet neighbour on Alcúdia’s edge
A little away from the tourist buzz lies this peaceful beach with views over the Bay of Pollença. If you're looking for solitude with city access, this is your little paradise.
Platja Es Morer Vermell – city beach for peace seekers
In the shadow of Alcúdia’s historic old town lies a stretch of coast many holidaymakers overlook:
Platja Es Morer Vermell is not your typical postcard bay, but a simple, pleasant natural beach, popular among locals and long-term visitors.
The beach features a mix of fine, light sand and flat rock slabs leading into the sea.
The water is usually calm, shallow and crystal clear – ideal for paddling, snorkelling or just dozing off with a view of the sea.
It’s also great for walks. Along the shore, narrow footpaths lead past small coves and rock formations. In the distance you can spot Cap de Formentor and the Bay of Pollença.
No infrastructure like loungers, showers or beach bars – and that’s exactly the charm. If you come prepared (towel, water, snacks), you’ll find a peaceful retreat just a few minutes’ walk from the old town.
If you like it quiet and authentic – without rows of sunbeds – you’ll find a relaxed, almost private beach atmosphere here. Also great for sunsets with a view toward Cap de Formentor!
